Al Sharpton Holds Rally at the National Action Network to Protest Police Shooting

al-sharptonReverend Al Sharpton will be holding a Rally at the National Action Network to protest the recent police shooting of off duty officer Omar J. Edwards.

Edwards, a black officer in plain-clothes was shot and killed by a white officer after he was mistaken for a criminal.

Sharpton said that he and members of the National Action Network “are completely concerned of a growing pattern of black officers being killed with the assumption that they are the criminals.”

He called for a federal investigation “to sort out the facts and bring about a just resolve.”
