Who is Christopher Williams?

In a quote from his profile on BloggerCatalog.com he states that he is “A Caribbean decent African-American atheist, who tools around with writing on his blog. Some people love to hear themselves speak, I write to read my own words.” The site also links to his blog Harlem Free Thought: Rants, and Analysis for a BlakAtheist.

Williams also has a video production company, Base IV Media LLC which has some interesting video about local politics and gentrification in Harlem.

He grew up in Harlem and on the day of Obama’s historic DNC speech, he wrote about his mother attending the March on Washington. “I was a five-year old child living at 66 West 139 st in Harlem. It was early morning and my mom was readying herself to board a bus parked downstairs to travel Washington DC. She was one of many traveling to attend the now famous March on Washington. I do remember asking if I could go with her. I can’t recall her exact answer, but I do remember I felling sad. I still have the image of her accompanied by her friends boarding the bus as i looked out the tenement window.

Williams and his company produce “social welfare videos”. His videos can also be found on the website Brave New Films, specifically dedicated to these types of videos. Check out some of the videos, especially their titles.

He has also contributed his video to a website for the film Walmart: The High Cost of Low Price. His videos documented the hearings regarding Columbia University’s eminent domain request and their campus expansion construction project in Harlem.
