Vegetarian Convention Watch Party

The Uptown Juice Bar on 125th is preparing a special menu for this historic event. The menu includes a beverage, appetizer, entree and dessert for only $15, plus your $25 donation (check, money order or receipt from your online donation to Obama for America). Donate $50 or more and receive a dvd of Barack’s acceptance speech (mailed to you within 5 days) . Watch this historic event on a big screen while enjoying the company of fellow Obama supporters. The restaurant is closed to general public for this memorable evening.

DNC at Solomon’s Porch

On Thursday, August 28, 2008 – Barack Obama will accept the Democratic Party’s nomination for President of the United States of America, in front of more than 70,000 people at Invesco Field in Denver, Colorado. I don’t have to tell you what kind of history this is. It’s definitely a cause for celebration, and since most of us won’t be in Denver, join me at Solomon’s Porch Cafe in Brooklyn as we watch the speech and enjoy this historic moment together. We’ll have a couple of speakers, a live band and most importantly, you know we can’t party without a purpose: Bring your check books as we’ll be selling T-Shirts and auctioning a few pieces of original artwork. The goal is to raise enough money to charter a bus full of volunteers to places like Pennsylvania and Ohio, to put in work where it matters – Swing States. Hope to see you there!
