Cedar Park — The Origins of Hip Hop on NYCTV

Since the late 70’s Cedar Park has been responsible for gathering MC’s, DJ’s, Break dancers, and graffiti artists. To many, Hip Hop is synonymous with Cedar Park. It stands not only as an outdoor space for recreational activities but as an attraction where one went to experience the elements of Hip Hop.

Tune in to NYCTV channel 25 on Saturday July 19 at 5:00 P.M. for an episode of It’s My Park featuring: The Origins of Hip Hop in Cedar Park. The episode will feature commentaries by Kool Herc (The Father of Hip Hop), his sister Cindy, and Curtis Sherrod, Executive Director of The Hip Hop Culture Center in Harlem.
